Hello, my name is Maya Varga. I came here to Le Regent less than a year ago.I am also part of the student council. I have two dogs called Coco and Jessie. I have three siblings and their ages are 20,18,13 and then I am 10.
I was born in Geneva, Switzerland but I consider myself Hungarian because most of my family come from Budapest.
Hungary is a very small country and not very well known. There are many cities and towns inside of Hungary. The capital city is Budapest (where most of my family was born). Budapest is separated by a river. Buda is the older side and where I come from and pest is newer. The Hungarian king in older days was born in Buda. The king I know best was called Mátyás király.
Lángos is a delectable food. It is simply fried dough which you can add jam or cheese,onion,basil and tomato. Lángos started off being a breakfast snack on bread making day.
Goulash is a mouth-watering Hungarian soup. It contains carrot,beef,pepper and parsley. Sometimes people add more things such as pasta.
Keksz tekercs is the best food you can ever find. It has coconut,decaf coffee etc… You make the dough with coffee and the cream has coconut. There are also some coconut flakes on top. This has a… different taste so not a lot of people like it.
Szaloncukor is a Hungarian Christmas sweet/chocolate. The originals are pure sugar and have different colours. Personally, my favourite type is caramel wrapped in chocolate.
