On the 23rd of April, our school celebrated world book day.
Before we get into what we did we will talk about why we celebrate it.
World Book Day was founded on the 23rd of April 1995. The event was created to convince children that reading is fun and important.
Now onto the funner part… how we celebrated.
We had a costume contest and the winner was Vassily Gorbunov and in second place came Seren Simpson.
Next we had a bunch of activities. One was book art which was fun but messy. Next was drama and we acted out different fairy tales in three different freeze frames. And last but not least was story writing, where we asked to use our imaginations and using five different words. We then had to film or record our story to show the others.
